SCREAM AT THE SQUARE!
Leesburg, FL. The newly revived Lake Square Mall is celebrating Halloween all Shop-tober long, with festive events that the whole family can enjoy. The Scream at the Square! Halloween events kicked off on October 20th with Spooktacular Story Time With Maria and Friends! This interactive event free event will bring fun spooky stories to life! Dress the kiddies in their finest disguise for the costume contest to win some fun prizes; there will also be a balloon artist, arts and crafts, and Halloween cookie decorating.
Here Are More Spooktacular Free Events this month:
October 26, 5-8pm: Ghost Hunt Experience at the Square. Kids ages 12 and over are invited to be part of an actual ghost hunt experience where they will see if the paranormal team can stir up some spirits! This is a free event, with tours running every 40 minutes.
October 26, all day: Spooktacular Sidewalk Sale. Shoppers get an early start to their holiday shopping when the Sidewalk Sale lines the mall. It will be a great opportunity to pick up festive fall decorations and support local merchants.
October 27, 2-5pm: Barktoberfest! Kids and canines will have a “howling” good time at this free event, featuring amazing prizes, raffles, and treats! Lake Square Mall will be hosting a costume contest for two- and four-legged goblins and ghouls, with prizes for scariest costume, funniest costume, and most original costume. Special guests include the Leesburg Police Department, who will be on site with safe trick or treating tips, and Animal Medical Center, with tips for keeping canine and feline kids safe and healthy this holiday season. Bonus: PetSmart, Nutramax Labs, Anytime Fitness, and LEASH Animal Rescue will be on site with adoptable dogs and cats.
October 28, 12-6pm: Taste of the Renaissance. Hear ye, hear ye! Lake Square Mall is proud to be partnering with the Educational Foundation of Lake County to give a Taste of the Renaissance. Attendees are invited to escape the modern world and experience the royal court performance in the Center Court. Actors will act, sing, and interact with the public, and artisans and a henna artist will also be on site. Discounted tickets for the actual Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire will be available, and each ticket purchase comes with a free turkey leg from the Tavares High School Culinary Team.
October 31, 5-8pm: Halloween Night Festivities. The Halloween fun doesn’t have to end once one is done trick or treating in their neighborhood. The community is invited to stop by to the mall where the Ghost Hunt team will be back exploring our halls for spirits from 5-8pm. There will also be safe indoor trick or treating from 6-8pm. Keys Scale Ford will have six, decked-out, Halloween designed vehicles for indoor “trunk or treating.” Treats include candied apples, cotton candy, and more tasty goodies available in the Center Court.
